Events That Inspire Learning, Connection, and Growth

At Mind Body Works Foundation, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when people come together with curiosity, openness, and a shared desire to live healthier and more purposeful lives. Our events are designed to make important ideas about the mind, body, wellness, and personal growth easier to understand—and, just as importantly, easier to put into practice.

Through webinars, workshops, conversations, guided experiences, and community gatherings, Mind Body Works brings together education and practical application. Some events explore the science behind well-being, while others offer opportunities to experience mindfulness, movement, relaxation, or personal reflection firsthand. Whether you are beginning your wellness journey or looking to deepen what you already know, our goal is to create welcoming opportunities to learn, connect, reflect, and grow.

  1. Mind Body Works Live: The Science of Whole-Person Wellness
Whole-person wellness begins with understanding that the different parts of our lives rarely operate in isolation. Sleep can influence mood and energy. Movement can affect the brain as well as the body. Nutrition, stress, habits, relationships, and mindset can all interact in ways that shape how we feel and function from day to day.
This signature Mind Body Works webinar explores those connections and introduces a broader way of thinking about health and well-being. Rather than focusing on a single practice or solution, participants will learn how multiple areas of life can work together to support greater resilience, vitality, and quality of life. The session is designed to leave participants with a clearer understanding of whole-person wellness and practical ideas for strengthening the foundations of their own well-being.
  2. Mindfulness for Everyday Life
Mindfulness does not require withdrawing from everyday life—it can become part of everyday life. This welcoming, practical workshop introduces mindfulness as a skill for becoming more aware of the present moment, directing attention with greater intention, and responding to everyday experiences with greater clarity.
Participants will be introduced to simple practices involving focused attention, breathing, observation, and mindful pauses that can be incorporated into ordinary routines. The emphasis is on making mindfulness approachable rather than complicated. Whether practiced for a few minutes in the morning, during a stressful day, while walking, or before sleep, these techniques can help participants explore ways of bringing greater awareness and calm into daily living.
  3. Stress Less: Understanding the Mind-Body Stress Response
Stress is not simply something we experience mentally. It can affect attention, sleep, muscle tension, breathing, energy, mood, and many other aspects of physical and emotional functioning. Understanding what happens when the stress response is activated can make it easier to recognize the signals and respond more constructively.
This educational webinar explains the mind-body stress response in clear, accessible terms and explores practical ways to encourage recovery. Participants will learn about relaxation, breathing, movement, rest, and other everyday strategies that can help the body transition out of a heightened stress state. The goal is not to eliminate every source of stress, but to help people build a more informed and effective relationship with it.
  4. The Resilient Mind
Resilience is not about avoiding difficulty or pretending that challenges do not affect us. It is the capacity to adapt, recover, learn, and continue moving forward when life does not unfold as expected.
This personal-growth workshop explores the qualities that can support resilience, including emotional regulation, mental flexibility, self-confidence, perspective, and the ability to learn from setbacks. Participants will examine how experiences can shape the way they respond to difficulty and how resilience can be strengthened over time. Through practical reflection and discussion, the session encourages participants to view challenges not only as obstacles, but also as opportunities to develop greater adaptability, understanding, and personal strength.
  5. Your Brain Can Keep Learning
Learning is not limited to childhood, school, or the early years of adulthood. The brain retains a remarkable capacity to respond to experience, develop new skills, form new connections, and adapt throughout life.
This webinar explores neuroplasticity and the importance of lifelong learning in an engaging and understandable way. Topics may include memory, curiosity, creative thinking, intellectual challenge, new experiences, and the value of continuing to learn as we age. Participants will also explore practical ways to keep the brain engaged—from learning a language or musical instrument to developing new hobbies, reading, problem-solving, and stepping outside familiar routines. The message is both scientific and encouraging: growth can remain part of life at every age.
  6. Breath, Relaxation and the Mind-Body Connection
Breathing happens automatically, yet it is also one of the few bodily processes we can consciously influence. That makes it a particularly interesting bridge between physical and mental experience.
This educational and experiential session explores how breathing, relaxation, and the autonomic nervous system are connected. Participants will learn why breathing patterns can change during stress, why slower and more deliberate breathing may support relaxation, and how simple calming practices can be incorporated into everyday life. Guided exercises give participants an opportunity to experience some of these concepts directly, helping turn information into something practical and usable.
  7. Ask the Wellness Experts
Wellness information is everywhere, but finding clear and trustworthy answers can sometimes be difficult. Ask the Wellness Experts is a recurring Mind Body Works webinar series designed to bring qualified professionals into thoughtful conversations about subjects that matter to everyday health and well-being.
Sessions may feature professionals in nutrition, fitness, physical therapy, psychology, sleep science, mindfulness, healthy aging, and related fields. Participants will have an opportunity to hear evidence-informed perspectives, explore commonly asked questions, and better understand how different aspects of wellness fit together. The program is educational in nature and is not intended to provide individual diagnosis or treatment. Its purpose is to make credible expertise more accessible and understandable.
  8. Mind Body Works Community Wellness Day
Community Wellness Day brings the Mind Body Works mission to life in a larger, interactive gathering devoted to learning, movement, reflection, and connection.
The event may include short educational talks, guided mindfulness sessions, gentle movement activities, healthy-aging discussions, nutrition demonstrations, personal-growth workshops, and opportunities to connect with other participants. Rather than focusing on one narrow area of wellness, Community Wellness Day reflects the whole-person philosophy of Mind Body Works by bringing multiple dimensions of well-being together in one experience. It is designed to be informative, welcoming, and energizing—a day for discovering new ideas while enjoying the encouragement of a community that values healthier living and lifelong growth.
  9. Global Wellness Day at Mind Body Works
Global Wellness Day provides an opportunity to think about a deceptively simple question: How can we live better? Mind Body Works recognizes the occasion by bringing together several of the Foundation’s central themes under one accessible and uplifting program.
Participants may be invited to move, breathe, learn, connect, reflect, and grow through a combination of wellness education and practical activities. Sessions can explore mindfulness, everyday movement, healthy habits, nutrition, relaxation, social connection, and personal development. Rather than treating wellness as a single activity, the event celebrates the many small choices that can contribute to a healthier and more balanced life. It is an opportunity to step away from routine, reconnect with personal well-being, and consider positive changes that can continue long after the event ends.
  10. World Meditation Day: A Moment to Pause
In a world filled with constant information, obligations, and stimulation, intentionally creating a moment of stillness can be surprisingly powerful. This special Mind Body Works observance of World Meditation Day invites participants to pause, learn, and experience meditation in an approachable setting.
The program may include an introduction to meditation, a guided practice, breathing and relaxation exercises, and discussion about how mindfulness can fit realistically into daily life. No previous meditation experience is necessary. The emphasis is not on achieving a particular state of mind, but on developing greater awareness and creating space for reflection. Participants are encouraged to discover how even brief periods of intentional quiet can become meaningful parts of a broader wellness routine.

  11. World Mental Health Day: Building Everyday Mental Well-Being
Mental well-being is influenced by many parts of everyday life—from stress and sleep to relationships, physical activity, habits, resilience, and our sense of connection and purpose.
This educational program explores practical factors that can support mental and emotional well-being while encouraging greater understanding of mental health as an essential part of whole-person wellness. Participants may learn about managing stress, strengthening resilience, supporting restorative sleep, maintaining meaningful social connections, and recognizing patterns that deserve attention. The program also reinforces an important distinction: wellness practices can support mental well-being, but professional mental-health care remains important when specialized support is needed. The goal is to encourage informed, compassionate, and proactive attention to mental wellness.

  12. International Day of Yoga: Movement, Breath and Balance
Yoga brings together several elements central to the Mind Body Works philosophy: movement, breathing, balance, flexibility, attention, relaxation, and body awareness.
This welcoming program, led by an appropriately qualified instructor, introduces participants to yoga as a mind-body practice rather than simply a form of exercise. The session may include gentle movements, balance exercises, stretching, breathing techniques, and moments of mindful attention. Participants can explore how movement and awareness interact and how yoga principles may support mobility, relaxation, and a stronger connection with the body. The program is designed to be accessible, with an emphasis on participation rather than performance.

  13. The Mind Body Works Conversation Series
Some of the most valuable ideas emerge through thoughtful conversation. The Mind Body Works Conversation Series brings together researchers, educators, wellness professionals, authors, practitioners, and other knowledgeable voices for focused discussions on subjects related to well-being and human potential.
Each conversation centers on one meaningful topic—such as brain health, healthy aging, sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, mindfulness, habits, technology, resilience, or personal growth—and explores it in a clear and engaging format. Rather than presenting lectures alone, the series is designed to encourage exploration, questions, differing perspectives, and practical understanding. Live conversations may also be recorded and made available through the Mind Body Works website and YouTube channel, allowing the educational value of each event to continue reaching people long after the original discussion has ended.

Come Learn, Connect and Grow With Us

Mind Body Works events are created around a simple idea: good information becomes more powerful when people have opportunities to experience it, discuss it, and apply it to their own lives. Our programs are intended to bring credible wellness education out of the article and into the real world through conversation, participation, reflection, and shared learning.

As the Foundation grows, so will the range of opportunities we offer. Some events will be educational webinars that can be joined from anywhere.
