Initiatives

Global Initiatives We Support

At Mind Body Works Foundation, we believe that well-being extends beyond any one person, practice, or community. Around the world, organizations and international initiatives are helping bring greater attention to physical health, mental and emotional well-being, mindfulness, movement, and the many ways people can create healthier and more meaningful lives.

Our mission naturally connects with several of these global efforts. Mind Body Works recognizes these observances as opportunities to educate, inspire, encourage participation, and contribute to a broader conversation about whole-person well-being. Through educational resources, community engagement, collaborative programs, and future events, we hope to help bring their underlying principles into everyday life.

Global Wellness Day

Global Wellness Day is an international nonprofit social movement dedicated to encouraging people to live healthier and better lives. Founded in 2012, it is celebrated around the world with complimentary wellness activities and takes place annually on the second Saturday of June. Global Wellness Day

Its philosophy closely reflects the Mind Body Works belief that wellness is not a single destination, but an ongoing process shaped by the choices and habits we practice every day. Physical activity, nutrition, mindfulness, human connection, relaxation, personal growth, and positive daily habits all contribute to a more balanced life.

Mind Body Works sees Global Wellness Day as an opportunity to bring these ideas together through educational resources and, as the Foundation grows, wellness-centered activities that encourage people to move, reflect, learn, connect, and take practical steps toward greater well-being.

World Meditation Day

Observed annually on December 21, World Meditation Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness of meditation and its potential contribution to physical and mental well-being. The UN describes meditation as encompassing practices such as mindfulness and focused attention that can help cultivate clarity, calm, and relaxation. United Nations

Meditation represents one of the clearest expressions of the mind-body relationship at the heart of the Mind Body Works mission. It invites us to slow down, become more aware of our thoughts and experiences, and create moments of intentional stillness in lives that can often feel increasingly busy and overstimulated.

Mind Body Works recognizes World Meditation Day as an opportunity to encourage greater understanding of meditation, mindfulness, stress management, focused attention, and the relationship between mental and physical well-being. Through educational content and future guided experiences, we hope to make these practices approachable and relevant to people at many different stages of their wellness journey.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day, observed each year on October 10, is a global World Health Organization campaign that raises awareness of mental health issues and encourages dialogue, understanding, and action. WHO’s 2026 observance emphasizes the importance of meaningfully hearing and involving people with lived experience of mental-health conditions. World Health Organization

Mental wellness is an essential component of whole-person well-being. Stress, resilience, emotional regulation, sleep, relationships, habits, purpose, and our ability to adapt to life’s challenges can all influence how we experience everyday life.

Mind Body Works supports the broader goal of increasing awareness and understanding of mental well-being through responsible, accessible education. Our role is not to replace professional mental-health care, but to help people better understand factors that can support emotional well-being, develop healthier habits, strengthen resilience, and recognize when professional resources may be appropriate.

International Day of Yoga

The United Nations proclaimed June 21 as the International Day of Yoga in 2014, recognizing yoga’s worldwide popularity and its integration of physical, mental, and contemplative practice. United Nations

Yoga offers a particularly natural connection to the philosophy of Mind Body Works because it brings movement, breathing, balance, attention, flexibility, and relaxation together within a single practice. For many people, it also provides an accessible way to become more aware of the relationship between physical movement and mental state.

Mind Body Works views the International Day of Yoga as an opportunity to explore mindful movement and its place within a broader approach to well-being. Educational resources and future collaborations with qualified instructors could help introduce people to practices involving mobility, breathing, balance, relaxation, and body awareness in a welcoming and accessible way.

World Health Day

Observed every year on April 7, World Health Day marks the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization and focuses international attention on a major health issue affecting people around the world. WHO’s 2026 campaign, “Together for health. Stand with science,” emphasizes evidence, scientific collaboration, and translating knowledge into action for better health. World Health Organization

That emphasis has particular meaning for Mind Body Works. One of our guiding principles is that useful health and wellness information should be understandable, practical, and grounded in credible knowledge. Science can help us better understand the brain and body, nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, aging, habits, and many of the other subjects that shape well-being.

Mind Body Works recognizes World Health Day as an opportunity to highlight trustworthy health education, explore important developments in wellness and health science, and help translate complex information into practical understanding that people can apply in their everyday lives.

Connecting Global Ideas With Everyday Well-Being

These initiatives may address wellness from different perspectives, but they share an important idea with Mind Body Works: health and well-being are strengthened when people have access to knowledge, supportive practices, meaningful opportunities, and the encouragement to participate actively in their own well-being.

By recognizing these global initiatives, Mind Body Works hopes to help extend their message beyond a single day on the calendar. Our goal is to transform awareness into learning, learning into practical action, and practical action into healthier habits that can become part of everyday life.

A healthier world begins with healthier individuals—and meaningful change often begins with one informed, intentional step.

Our mission is to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential through education, mindfulness, healthy living, and personal growth. We believe lasting transformation begins by nurturing the mind, strengthening the body, and cultivating habits that support a healthier & purposeful life.
